# Chess

* All markets will be settled on the official results from the relevant governing body of the league / tournament organiser.
* Any corrections to results by Chess officials after BetDEX have settled the market will not be considered.
* BetDEX reserves the right to void any bets if conclusive evidence is not available to determine the correct result.
* Unless otherwise specified, tie-breaks are not considered for settlement.
* Game not played / forfeited - if a player doesn't appear, is disqualified, or the game is awarded **without moves being played** (0-1 or 1-0 by forfeit), markets will be voided.
* Game abandoned or postponed - if a game starts but isn't finished on the same date as originally scheduled (for example due to illness or technical failure), markets will be voided.
* Player withdrawal - if a player withdraws mid-tournament, remaining game markets of that player will be voided, not settled as forfeits.
* Colours - unless otherwise specified, markets settle on the named players regardless of which colour they play.

**Game Result**

* This is a 3-way market.
* If a game ends in a draw, the market will be settled as a Draw
* In the case of the event being \[Player1] vs \[Player2], the market is based on the single game result between the 2 players (not any series result)
* In the case of the event being \[Country1] vs \[Country2], the market is based on the cumulative scores between any boards in the **single round**
 * For example, in the Chess Olympiad, an event between **Uzbekistan** **v Afghanistan** as below, where 4x boards are played, would be settled as 3-1, and so Uzbekistan as the winner.
 * Whereas **Botswana v Brazil** below would be settled as 2-2 and therefore a DRAW

**Game Result (Draw No Bet)**

* This is a 2-way market where there is no DRAW option
* If a result is a draw, the market will be voided
* In the case of the event being \[Player1] vs \[Player2], the market is based on the single game result between the 2 players (not any series result)
* In the case of the event being \[Country1] vs \[Country2], the market is based on the cumulative scores between any boards in the **single round**
 * For example, in the Chess Olympiad, an event between **Uzbekistan** **v Afghanistan** as above, where 4x boards are played, would be settled as 3-1, and so Uzbekistan as the winner.
 * Whereas **Botswana v Brazil** above would be settled as 2-2 and therefore a DRAW

**Chess Olympiad 2026**

* We determine the official results based off <https://s3.chess-results.com/tnr1469895.aspx?lan=1&SNode=S0>
* BetDEX reserves the right to void any bets if conclusive evidence is not available to determine the correct result
* Any corrections to results by Chess officials after BetDEX have settled the market will not be considered.
