# BetDEX Labs

[BetDEX Labs](https://www.betdex.com/) is an entity set up in October 2021 by sports betting industry veterans Nigel Eccles, Varun Sudhakar and Stuart Tonner with the goal of bringing about a new and improved sports betting experience to web 3.

Sports betting is a massive industry with over US$2tn wagered every year, yet it is highly fragmented and characterised by high fees and poor user experiences. BetDEX Labs was set up to fix this. 

Our BetDEX team has collectively over a hundred years of experience in the sports betting industry. Together, we launched Betfair, BETDAQ, FanDuel daily fantasy sports and the FanDuel sportsbook.
